Requirements for imports

Polydata Demo Translation Sheet This code handles the importing of translations using the Polydata Demo Translation Sheet. Each tab in the sheet has specific requirements for importing translations.

Polydata Demo Translation Sheet Import

To import translations using the Polydata Demo Translation Sheet with all required fields accurately filled in for products, product options, product metafields and collection data.

All the fields are Optional. So if you only want to bulk upload a product title, then only include that column. This works for every tabs.

It's not posssible to combine the tabs in one big sheet and upload it.

1. Product Translation:

   • Fill in the following fields:

     • shopify_product_id, shopify_product_sku, shopify_product_handle (Only one of them is Required)

     • Locale = required

     • translated_handle

     • translated_title

     • translated_body_html

     • translated_product_type

     • translated_meta_title

     • translated_meta_description

2. Product Option Translation:

   • Fill in the following fields:

     • shopify_product_id, shopify_product_sku, shopify_product_handle (Only one of them is Required)

     • Locale = required

     • Option name = required

     • translated_name

     • Translated value

3. Product Metafield Translation:

   • Fill in the following fields:

     • shopify_product_id, shopify_product_sku, shopify_product_handle (Only one of them is Required)

     • Locale = required

     • Namespace = required

     • Key = required

     • translated_value

4. Collection Page Translation:

   • Fill in the following fields:

     • shopify_product_id, shopify_product_sku, shopify_product_handle (Only one of them is Required)

     • Local = required

     • translated_handle

     • translated_title

     • translated_body_html

     • translated_meta_title

     • translated_meta_description

Cautionary Notes:

• Ensure all fields are accurately filled in to avoid errors during the import process.

• Double-check the data entered to match the requirements for each tab.

Tips for Efficiency:

• Use a template or checklist to ensure all required fields are filled in for each translation.

• Verify the accuracy of the data before initiating the import process to prevent rework or corrections later on.
